The Service Auction is UUCL's biggest fundraisers every year. People donate services (hence the name), items, events, and housing, which are then "auctioned" off to attendees. There are three parts to the event: a silent auction, a live auction, and a set of group events, which is first come first served.
42nd Street and the Best of Broadway!

This year is our 42nd annual Service Auction and we're looking to make a splash! Donations of services and group events are needed. This year, let's emphasize the "service" in Service Auction. This about services you can provide. Popular services in the past have included handyman help, pet sitting, landscape design, tax preparation help, vacation rentals, tours of unusual locations and organized hikes. Or offer to make and deliver homemade soup, breads, casseroles or complete meals. The possibilities are as varied as our UU community.
Group events are always popular. Plan a progressive dinner in a quadrant of the Lexington galaxy, offer a wine-tasting, host a move or game night, organize an afternoon of bowling, or host a pool party. Dinners of all kinds are fun. How about offering a weekend of childcare or to drive someone to and from the airport. Again, the possibilities are endless.
Please submit donations by filling out an online donation form or a paper form available in the Foyer. Bring in
your donations to church every Sunday until April 2.
- We are also asking groups to donate items for themed baskets. Spread the word, decide what your group wants to do, and then bring the items in as soon as possible. You do not need to package them - our Stage Hands and Designers are ready for that!
- Do you want to be part of the 42nd annual Service Auction? We still need help and will sign you up for something perfect for your talents and time!
