Sunday Mornings at UUCL

Worship services are every Sunday from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.

We are a diverse group and that diversity is reflected in our Sunday morning dress.  Most of us dress casually.  Many of us dress very casually.

Bringing children? We offer child care for infants and toddlers, and Religious Exploration, (Sunday School), for kids from K-12 during our Sunday services.  You can find lots of information about these programs on our Religious Education page.

We are located at 3564 Clays Mill Rd. (Directions and map.) The church is not visible from the road.  Look for our signs.  As you turn into the property, drive up the hill to the parking lot on the right.  The main building entrance is off to the far side of the lot.

Turn right as you enter our building. You’ll enter a lobby area. There is a Visitors' Table on the right. It’s loaded with information on Unitarian Universalism, and information about our church.  Please fill out a name badge so we can get to know you better. Also, please fill out one of the blue Visitors' Cards on the table, and drop it in the collection plate. We will send you several issues of our church newsletter, The Uniview. There is a box you can check for us to contact you with more information, if you wish.

If you introduce yourself to the person at the Visitors' Table or one of the greeters handing out programs, they can help with questions on child care, Religious Exploration, (RE), and anything else you might need to know.

Our recently remodeled sanctuary.

Sit anywhere in the sanctuary, (which we also call the "Great Hall").  There are no bad seats!  At the start of the service we will ask if any visitors want to stand and introduce themselves. If you are comfortable doing so, please stand and tell us a little about yourself. We’d appreciate the chance to get to know you better!  (But we'll also understand if you prefer not to.)

You’ll probably find the service to be fairly traditional in format. There’s a community greeting time at the beginning, where you’ll probably meet a few more folks. While our services vary from one week to the next, most include songs and hymns, sharing of joys and concerns, readings, and a homily. You’ll also find our services to be fairly stimulating, with frank and open discussions about matters spiritual, practical and social. Please visit our Worship Activities page for more detailed information about our Sunday services.

After the service there will be several opportunities to learn more about the church. Feel free to follow the crowd into the Fellowship Hall, where we have coffee and conversation after every service. We can answer any questions, and show you around. Or come up to the front of the sanctuary after the service.  There will be a board member or minister milling about.
